Lee Johnson Chiropractor Dawlish

Dr Lee Johnson Chiropractor

BSc MSc DC LRCC PgCert Medical Ultrasound

I graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2016 achieving a distinction in Masters of Chiropractic and following this I completed my post-graduate certificate in Medical Ultrasound. I have worked at Chiropractic clinics in Torquay, Teignmouth and Paignton since graduating and in October 2020 I achieved my dream of opening my own clinic in Dawlish. This has gradually expanded taking over a larger premise in September 2022 to accommodate the other therapies we now offer. This year we have expended further and are now delighted to also be able to offer our Chiropractic services in Dartmouth.

I’ve always enjoyed participating in sports, and while growing up I had my own difficulties with knee pain which limited my activities and caused me discomfort. This experience triggered an interest in chiropractic medicine and rehabilitation which led me onto my career path today. Although I have an interest in all musculoskeletal conditions, I am particularly passionate about sport, sport related injuries and functional exercises.

I strongly believe that just because a certain pain has become common for an individual it does not make it normal or that it is something you have to live with. I understand that injuries and pain can be detrimental to daily activities, whether that is how easily you can put your socks on, how much you can lift in the gym, how far you can hit a golf ball or how easily you can do the gardening. It is my belief that chiropractic treatment and if necessary an individually tailored exercise program can keep you doing the activities you enjoy.

Jenni Wilson Sports Massage Therapy Dawlish

Jenni Wilson Sports Massage Therapist

I've been treating clients for the past 2 years after training at South Devon College in Level 3 Sports Massage. Since leaving college I have completed further training in both Hot Stone Massage Therapy and Pregnancy Massage Therapy.

I previously graduated from Plymouth University with an honours degree in Business Management in 2011 and enjoyed working in business for 10 years. But after all that time in a desk job and doing high intensity training in the gym I began to develop my own aches and pains. I started to get chiropractic treatment and care from other complementary therapies. After realising how much this improved my wellbeing and the way I felt day to day I wanted to help others feel the same and enrolled to train in Sports Massage Therapy.

Here at Coastal Chiropractic and Wellness Centre in Dawlish I split my time providing massage therapy and working on reception.

Dr Rob Stoyle Chiropractor

I recently graduated with a first-class degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (WIOC), where I was also awarded the Clinical Excellence Year Prize.

My journey into chiropractic care began in my teens when traditional therapy provided little benefit for my recurring sports injuries. After witnessing the positive impact chiropractic treatment had on my family’s long-term health issues, I sought care for myself and found significant relief for a persistent neck problem caused by a diving accident. This inspired me to pursue a career in chiropractic.

I employ a range of treatment modalities including spinal manipulative therapy, joint mobilisations, various soft tissue techniques and tailored rehabilitation programmes. In addition to my chiropractic degree, I hold a Level 3 extended diploma in sports massage, adding an extra dimension to my treatment

approach.

Injuries and pain can significantly impact daily activities, but I am dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal health and return to the activities they love. I'm passionate about empowering individuals to reach their personal goals, whether it may be running a marathon, playing with grandchildren, or simply enjoying a walk to the local shops.

Outside of clinic life, I enjoy spending time on my family farm in Mid Devon and have a keen interest in sports, particularly football and cricket.

Ginkgo Sequoia Counsellor

I have been working in the mental health sector for over 20 years. I graduated from Oxford Brookes University and started off working in the health and fitness industry as the General Manager for the UK’s Health club of the year. This is where I became interested in sports psychology, and went on to work with the company operating the English Institute of Sport, I worked there for 7 years as Director of Operations.

I then travelled to study Buddhism, Meditation and Yoga Healing in India, Cambodia and Thailand. On my return, I ran a philosophy school and worked as the Master practitioner for a counselling and healing therapy practice. I found a passion for writing and in my spare time I write about self-development, trauma and anxiety. I will soon publish my third book.

As a counsellor at Coastal Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, I run Rich Minds Counselling services. I am particularly interested in helping people turn their lives around. Childhood trauma, trust and rejection issues, anxiety and depression, self-love and self-worth, bereavement and confidence, are just some of the services that are on offer. These can help you turn your life around and find the happiness that you are entitled to. I look forward to talking with you.

Leigh Watkinson Yoga Dawlish

Leigh Watkinson Yoga Instructor

I’ve been studying and practicing yoga for nearly 20 years and was previously a qualified fitness class instructor.

I currently live in Dawlish, Devon after relocating from Hertfordshire in 2015. I love living by the sea surrounded by forests and trees and I'm very appreciative of how lucky that makes me. When not walking my two huskies I also enjoy baking and trying out new recipes, so if you ever follow me on Facebook be prepared for lots of pics of dogs and food!

I really enjoy helping people to learn yoga that may have previously been curious about it but a bit intimidated to just turn up at a class. Enjoying yoga is about finding the right postures and positions FOR YOU and not the perfect images that are sometimes used for Yoga promotion.
Yoga really is for everyone and you'll be surprised at the many benefits you will see in a relatively short space of time.

Ann Ogden Pilates Dawlish

Ann Odgen Pilates Instructor

I have been teaching Classical Pilates for over  10 years now and I am delighted to be part of the team at Coastal Chiropractic and Wellness Centre.

Originally I was a Professional Dancer but I had an injury which forced me into rehabilitation, and it was here I found my love for Pilates. I felt the full benefits of using Pilates, and this helped me get back to work. I went on to train as a Level 3 Mat and Equipment teacher. My further training also includes Pre and Post Natal Pilates, MS, Osteoporosis and 50+ Pilates.

Pilates is for everyone, whether you are rehabilitating from injuries, looking for ways to support yourself with existing conditions or training for high level Sports and competitions, Pilates meets your needs.

I  graduated from the University of Cumbria with a degree in Sports Rehabilitation. My journey in sports rehabilitation has been diverse having worked with Rochdale AFC, various local clinics, and supporting sporting events such as the Brathay 10 in 10.

I've got experience in managing a range of injuries including, helping people return to work along with their day to day tasks, and aiding athletes back to peak performance.

From a young age I have always been fascinated by the mechanics of the human body. This curiosity, paired with my personal experiences with sports injuries playing both hockey and football led me into this field. My goal is to assess for the root cause of the problem, provide treatment and guidance as well as educating patients over the course of their injury to ensure they go on to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
