Why Choose Paige to help?

Paige is an "integrative" counsellor which means she is trained in various forms of counselling. She adopts a blend of techniques and approaches to provide individually tailored sessions for each individual client.

Paige mainly works in a "humanistic" way which simply means she aims to support you, the client, in a non-judgemental, empathetic way whilst empowering you to become your true, authentic self.

Paige also works in a collaborative way. This means helping to find the right tools to help you navigate life whilst having open conversations about the work to ensure we are finding the best way to support you.

Some people may find it difficult to verbally communicate how they are feeling. If just talking isn't right for you then Paige can provide alternative ways to explore emotions and behaviour. This can be through creative forms such as drawing, writing, musically or other ways. These options can all be discussed in the session.

How do the sessions work?

Paige offers a free 30 minute welcome session. This gives you the chance to meet each other, find out how the sessions work, ask any questions, and see if counselling will be the right fit for you. It is important that you, as the client, feel safe and supported throughout your counselling journey.

Following your welcome session there is no obligation to rebook, however if you decide you would like to rebook for a full counselling session (50 minutes), these sessions are £50.00 per session.

During the first few sessions Paige will begin working on building a strong therapeutic relationship with you by offering a safe, confidential space. This will also help to build trust between you both. It is recommended that clients initially aim for weekly or fortnightly sessions, which provides enough time in between to process the key points from the therapy and maintain the therapeutic processing.

Paige offers both long and short term sessions. Some clients may find a few weeks is enough, others may need further support lasting months or years. Long-term sessions can be useful for clients with ongoing problems or more complex needs. Short-term sessions are aimed for clients looking for quick results with structured sessions. The number of sessions you may need can be discussed during your free consultation at the start, however this may change depending on progress throughout your therapy.
